Representation and Protection
SABAWWU’s core purpose is to regulate relations between members and their employers, as well as to protect and further the interests of its members in their employment. The union also works to uphold and protect the labor rights of all workers across South Africa.
Dispute Resolution
The union encourages and takes steps to settle disputes using conciliatory methods whenever possible.
Legal Assistance
When necessary, SABAWWU provides legal assistance to members in matters related to their employment.
Advocacy

SABAWWU assists members in obtaining employment.
Benefits and Funds
The National Executive Committee has the authority to provide benefits and establish benefit funds for members as it deems advisable.
